The birth of the MITRE SAW
The Mitre Saw is the machine upon which Farnese Australia built its reputation as a manufacturer of reliable, affordable machinery. Beginning with the
MitreForma and gradually being improved over the years into the current MITRE SAW GEN 2, this machine has always been a consistent market leader
amongst the Farnese range.
Accuracy is the key when cutting mitres
Consumers throughout the world expect a high quality finish when mitre joints form a part of their project. Here at Farnese Australia, we recognise the
need of fabricators within the stone industry to satisfy this expectation by producing clean, accurate mitre cuts. The MITRE SAW GEN 2 quickly cuts
accurate mitres for a wide range of materials including engineered stone, granite, marble and porcelain, ranging in thickness from 8mm to 40mm.
The more accurate the cut, the better the overall result.
The MITRE SAW’s reputation for accuracy is due to the fact that the material is loaded polished face down, eliminating cutting errors that can arise due to small variations in material thickness along the length of the cut.
An accurate mitre cut is achieved each and every time due to the precise angle of the blade and the straight edge system which uses front edge stoppers to accurately position the material on the table.
No measuring. No mistakes.
Coupled with this, a series of pneumatic clamps hold the material firmly against the table so that it’s always straight and always stays in place.
The MITRE SAW uses a 350mm continuous rim, special purpose blade. Together with variable feed control, this means that a range of material thicknesses and hardness can be accommodated with minimal chipping and minimal cut deflection.
The machine is also equipped with pneumatic pop up rollers for ease of loading and unloading work pieces.
The rollers and the clamps are both controlled by the simple flick of a lever.
SAFETY FEATURE:
Should an operator forget to lower the loading rollers prior to lowering the clamps, the machine will release the rollers when clamps are lowered.
Lubrication is taken care of via an automatic system which can be programmed to deliver as necessary.
